Kids Craft Idea: Paper Rainbow for St. Patrick's Day

Looking for a fun and easy craft to do with the kids for St. Patrick's Day? Grab your paper scraps, Glue Dots® and a few other supplies for a simple project that can be completed in less than an hour.

Supplies:

• 6 11" paper strips (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
• 20 2" white circles
• Glue Dots®: Pop Up & Craft
• thin cardboard
• 16" gold string
• small hole punch

1. Cut cardboard into a 7x4" oval. Punch two small holes at the top, 3" apart. Insert the gold string and tie a knot.

2. Adhere circles to the oval using Craft Glue Dots® for the bottom layer and Pop Up Glue Dots® for the top layers.

3. Attach the paper strips to the back of the oval using Craft Glue Dots®.

Now all we need is a pot of gold! Time to go hunting for leprechauns!

Color Inspiration: A Yellow & Gray Scrapbook Layout

12x12 Scrapbook Layout: "Sisters"

I love when I have an idea for a scrapbook layout and I'm able to bring it to fruition without getting sidetracked or changing the design along the way. For my third ScrapTiffany challenge, I needed to create a scrapbook page with the colors yellow and gray. I knew I wanted to use black and white photographs and keep the layout simple. 

With a vision of yellow paper flowers, I sifted through my 10 gallon container of scraps and found a perfect piece of yellow cardstock. After making the flowers, I doodled grass and stems onto white cardstock. Then I matted the white square with black cardstock and added a 12x12 sheet of gray cardstock to bring it all together. I adhered my photos and wrote down the title and date. Done! (And in less than an hour!)
